Our hobby story began in 1938 when the Brooklyn Dodgers signed The King of Baseball Babe Ruth as a box office gimmick. While the Babe was past his days as the Sultan of Swat he was still a fan favorite everywhere, including the Brooklyn Dodgers locker room. As the Babe was on his way out of professional baseball a young knuckle baller was in his way into, his name was Tot Pressnell.
Years later in the 1980's, when our founder, Jeremy Hulderman was a kid growing up in Findlay, Ohio Jeremy loved to hear the stories of the old man from his neighborhood who loved to tell his Babe Ruth Story, the old man was Tot Pressnell. Mr. Pressnell, as Jeremy and all the other kids referred to Tot as, was gracious enough to share his story over and over again with any kid who would listen. And if that kid was lucky enough and well behaved enough Mr Pressnell might even share one or two of his prized baseball artifacts including Babe Ruth's fielding glove. The glove that Babe Ruth wore he played and the glove that the Babe himself gifted to Tot in his rookie season with the Brooklyn Dodgers of 1938. But what really stood out to Jeremy, was when Mr. Pressnell signed his very own Rookie card for Jeremy.
Jeremy collected cards for the next twenty years until his passion for collecting was gone. Now Jeremy enjoys his passion for the hobby through grading while helping others in the hobby fulfill their collecting goals.
